I enjoyed this short journey into a world far different from our own. The author has built a credible mythology that underlies, but doesn't overwhelm, the main story. The alternating perspectives of the characters each shed light on a different aspect of the world and the meaning behind the events that occur, offering multiple versions of the same truth.The ending left me wanting more, while sating enough of my curiosity to leave me content to idly wonder at what else this universe might hold. I hope it does the same for you.

Great read, and great ending!
Once I started reading, I couldn't stop until I reached the end. Definitely worth it's price.
If you enjoy sci fi, you'll enjoy this one.
My rating is based on my expectations from the story and what it offered me.
It made me want to read it until the end. I was constantly curios to see what's next and, in fact, I'm still curious about the universe in which the action takes place.
I won't go into details, because I don't want to ruin other reader's experiences.
If you like short SF stories with engaging content, I recommend "The Last Tides" to you.
I really hope that Alexandru will continue to write like this, maybe even stories related to this one.
This very short sci-fi story kept me completely hooked. The settings and characters were very interesting and I was impressed by how elegantly the language adapted to each character. There are also some phrasings and typos which betray that this isn't the author's main language, but they don't come in the way of enjoying the story greatly. And, of course, I loved the ending.
I liked the story, its strange cuts and the different perspectives of its characters.
Since my 5th grade I started reading SF stories and I remember being deeply impressed by the strange atmosphere Lem has created on his Solaris. I was a little boy back then and I read the book from cover to cover without being able to stop.
The same thing happend with Alex' story, I couldn't stop until I found out what happend. And now, writing this review, I don't know am I happy with its ending, am I sad about it?.... I guess I'm at peace with it. What else one could have done?...
